Do I have to be really fit to go on one of your tours? We have tours for all abilities and levels (you can see each tour's difficulty rating at the bottom of the tour description). All our tours begin slowly, increasing the kilometer count per day gradually, so you're getting in shape simply by starting the tour. Even the moderately difficult tours can be easily enjoyed by an active person of average fitness, even with no prior training.
Will we be cycling all the time or will there be time to rest? All our tours are planned with generous rest days judiciously coinciding with the arrival to a town or city of cultural interest. Depending on the tour package, full rest days are planned every 2-5 days of riding, and we never ride for more than 5 days in a row. This ensures that the tour is focused mostly on the sights of Europe, and gives us plenty of time to sample the local cuisine, explore a city's nooks and crannies, and befriend the locals for a fully relaxing, enjoyable experience.
What is the average length of a cycling day? In terms of kilometers, we travel on average between 50 and 100 kms a day. In terms of time, this might take anywhere from 3 to 8 hours of continuous riding. However, we typically aim to stop for lunch and pictures along the way! |
